Ukrainian and American companies are considering possibility of repairing certain air defense systems currently in service with Armed Forces of Ukraine – Defense Ministry
On Wednesday, March 19, representatives of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ministry of Strategic Industries of Ukraine, and Ukrainian defense companies discussed with representatives of US defense companies the development of cooperation on the modernization of Ukrainian air defense.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Censor.NET reports.
In particular, during the meeting, they discussed the organization of repairs and modification of some Ukrainian air defense systems.
"Ukrainian and US companies working in this area will be able to strengthen cooperation," said Brigadier General Serhii Baranov, head of the Main Directorate for Missile Program Support of the Ministry of Defense.
During the meeting, the parties also discussed the current status of joint projects and further steps to implement them.
"Ukrainian and American companies are considering the possibility of repairing some air defense systems in service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the territory of Ukraine, which will allow us to start using the updated weapons faster," the statement said.
