Russia launches record number of drones targeting civilian infrastructure – Shmyhal

Shmyhal discusses defense cooperation and sanctions against Russia with Lithuanian Seimas

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said that Russia has launched a record number of drones in recent days, the main purpose of which is to target civilian infrastructure and intimidate civilians.

He said this during a government meeting, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrinform.

"The Russian regime continues its terror against Ukrainian cities and our people. These days we see a record number of drones launched by Russians. And the main target of the strikes is civilian infrastructure and intimidation of the civilian population," the Prime Minister said.

Shmyhal emphasized the massive strike that the Odesa region suffered on the night of March 21, as well as the large-scale shelling of Kropyvnytskyi the day before. He also thanked the rescuers, medics and all the services working at the sites of the attacks.

As a reminder, since the evening of March 20, the enemy has attacked the suburbs of Odesa again. Civilian infrastructure, commercial facilities and cars were on fire.
