Trump on sanctions against Russia for shelling Ukraine: They are fighting against each other

U.S. President Donald Trump avoided answering whether he would impose additional sanctions against Russia as it continues to attack Ukraine.
He said this during a press conference at the White House, Censor.NET reports.
A journalist asked Trump whether he plans to impose new sanctions against Russia because it continues to shell Ukraine.
The US President replied: "Well, they [Ukraine and Russia] are fighting each other. We have a ceasefire in a lot of areas, so far that's all held very well."
Trump also reiterated that "some soldiers were surrounded by other soldiers" and added that a full ceasefire would soon be achieved in Ukraine, and then a peace agreement.
