According to CNN, the commander of the 225th Separate Assault Regiment (SAR), Oleh Shyriaiev, who has been fighting in the Kursk region for six months, it is necessary to hold the positions in order to block the enemy's advance.

The publication reminds that the 225th Separate Special Forces Regiment broke through Russian positions in the Kursk region in August last year.

Today, the assault regiment continues to perform combat missions in the Kursk region. It is difficult to hold the positions, but the military continues to control them despite the enemy's numerical superiority.

Shiryaev also said that while on the defense, we inflict very heavy losses on the enemy.

"Even if we are now on the defensive, we are still grinding the enemy. (Russia - Ed.) still suffers losses, both in terms of human casualties and in terms of losses of military equipment and weapons.
