Umerov after meeting of delegations of Ukraine and United States: conversation was constructive, we discussed key issues, in particular in energy sector
The meeting between the delegations of Ukraine and the United States in Saudi Arabia has ended. Ukraine's Defence Minister Rustem Umerov, who headed the Ukrainian delegation, spoke about the outcome of the meeting.
Censor.NET reports this with reference to Umerov's post on the social network X.
"The conversation was constructive and informative - we discussed key issues, in particular in the energy sector. The task of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi is to achieve a decent and lasting peace for our country and people, and therefore for the whole of Europe. We are working to make this a reality," said the head of the defence ministry.
Earlier it was reported that on Sunday, 23 March, negotiations between the delegations of Ukraine and the United States started in Saudi Arabia.
This meeting will take place a day before the talks between the US and Russian delegations scheduled for Monday, 24 March.
