Zelenskyy: Russian assets should be seized while this opportunity exists

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy believes that Russian frozen assets should be confiscated while this opportunity exists.
He said this at a press conference after the Coalition of the Willing summit in Paris, Censor.NET reports citing LIGA.
"I believe that if we do not find a way to take these assets, it may happen that after the war is over, we will all still be fighting with the Russians for these assets. So, in order not to fight later, we need to seize them while this opportunity exists," Zelenskyy said.
The President of Ukraine considers income from frozen assets to be investments.
"The safest thing is to be able to take these frozen assets and spend them on what Russia is destroying. Rebuilding our logistics, army, building bomb shelters for children, bomb shelters in schools, universities, bomb shelters in hospitals, etc. And there are a lot of things like that," Zelenskyy explained.
As a reminder, French President Emmanuel Macron said that confiscation of frozen Russian assets is impossible because it contradicts international law, but that the proceeds from them can be used to rebuild Ukraine.
