Mandatory evacuation of families with children from Donetsk region

On 27 March, the authorities in the Donetsk region expanded the list of settlements subject to the mandatory evacuation of families with children.

According to Censor.NET, the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Vadym Filashkin, announced the decision on Facebook.

"Today, the regional commission on Technogenic and Environmental Safety and Emergency Situations (TES and ES) approved the start of mandatory evacuation of children together with their parents or other legal guardians from the villages of

  • Krasnopodillia,
  • Matiashevo and
  • Novohryshyne of the Kryvyi Rih community,
  • the town of Bilytske,
  • the villages of Vodiane and
  • Chernihivka,
  • the villages of Svitle
  • and Shevchenko of the Dobropillia community,
  • villages of Kurtivka,
  • Kindrativka and
  • Osykove of the Druzhkivka community, as well as
  • Novoselivka village and
  • Shandryholove of the Lyman community.

A total of about 500 children currently live in these settlements.

Enemy shelling has intensified, and children are increasingly becoming victims. That is why we must step up our efforts at all levels to protect them. The enemy continues to strike not only along the front line but also in relatively rear communities — children are suffering and dying.

"Once again, I urge you: evacuate while it is still possible! Take care of your loved ones and do not put them in danger," Filashkin appealed to the residents of Donetsk region.
