Ukraine received new draft agreement on minerals from US, discussions are ongoing - Svyrydenko
The Cabinet of Ministers is currently forming a position on the working version of the minerals agreement with the United States.
According to Censor.NET, with reference to Suspilne, this was stated by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko.
According to her, if necessary, consultations will be held with the Rada on the agreement.
"It is very important to note the following: any public discussions on the text of this agreement now only harm the negotiations and prevent us from having a constructive discussion with our American partners. As soon as a consensus is reached, we will definitely come out with a public position to the members of the Verkhovna Rada," the minister said during her speech in the Rada.
Earlier, Yaroslav Zhelezniak, a member of the Voice party and deputy chairman of the Verkhovna Rada's tax committee, said that the United States had handed over a new draft agreement on minerals to Ukraine, which must be ratified by the Verkhovna Rada.
This option, in his opinion, is unfavorable for Ukraine.
