$11 billion to be allocated for reconstruction of water supply system – Shmyhal

The Cabinet of Ministers intends to use the funds received as part of the European Investment Bank's financing to implement a water supply and sewerage rehabilitation project. The project needs amount to $11 billion.
This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal during a government meeting on April 1, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrinform.
"The next decision made by the government today is aimed at restoring water supply and wastewater infrastructure. Our reconstruction needs in this sector exceed $11 billion. We have secured €100 million in financing from the European Investment Bank under the Ukraine Facility. These funds will be used to rebuild water pipelines and sewage systems and bring them in line with modern standards," Shmyhal stated.
