Ukraine has signed an agreement with the World Bank to receive $432 million to rebuild its transportation infrastructure.

This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, Censor.NET reports.

According to him, the funds will be used to overhaul roads and bridges in 19 regions, reform national highways, install modular bridges, and provide technical assistance. The project will be implemented by the State Agency for the Restoration and Development of Infrastructure of Ukraine.

As noted, the funding is provided under the DRIVE project (Building Resilient Infrastructure in Vulnerable Environments in Ukraine), which was approved by the World Bank's Board of Directors last month. Part of the funds - $212 million - will be provided by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) with the support of the Government of Japan, and another $10 million will come from the Trust Fund for Ukraine.
