Meloni calls Trump’s new tariffs against EU "wrong"

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni commented on the duties imposed by US President Donald Trump against the European Union.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to ZN.UA.
Meloni called the 20% duty on imports from the European Union wrong.
She added that the duties would not benefit anyone, but would undermine the established US-EU alliance.
"We will do everything we can to reach an agreement with the United States to prevent a trade war that will inevitably weaken the West in favour of other global players," Meloni said.
As a reminder, Trump signed an executive order imposing a minimum 10 per cent tariff on almost all goods entering the US. For some countries, the tariffs are higher. In particular, China - 34%, the European Union - 20%.
