Cavoli: Ukraine’s long-range strikes on Russian territory were "extremely effective" with US weapons
Ukraine's strikes deep into Russian territory using long-range missiles previously provided by the United States were "extremely effective."
This was stated by the Commander of NATO's Allied Forces Europe, General Christopher Cavoli, during a hearing at the US Senate Armed Services Committee, Censor.NET reports.
One of the senators asked Cavoli to assess Ukraine's use of long-range missiles provided by Western countries to strike Russia.
"They (the strikes - ed.) were extremely effective. I could talk about this in a closed session, but the United States produces very good weapons, and the ones we have provided have been very, very effective, and I would be happy to talk to you about some of the things they have done with them," the general emphasized.
Сavoli also said that the transfer of Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine is a success story, and the Armed Forces are actively using them.
"To be honest, I had some doubts at first. It’s a complex system. We spent a long time training the guys to operate it properly. But the Ukrainians put their best people on it — and they took to it like fish to water. In fact, we’ve even picked up a few of their methods ourselves," he added.
