Belgium to deliver two F-16s to Ukraine this year, and two more next year – Prime Minister De Wever

Belgium will supply Ukraine with two F-16 fighter jets this year and an additional two next year. There will be no delays in the aircraft deliveries.
This was announced by Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Wever during a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, as reported by Censor.NET with reference to RBC-Ukraine.
"We pledged to become the largest supplier of F-16s to Ukraine, and we will, of course, stand by our word. Two F-16s and spare parts will arrive this year, and two more aircraft will arrive next year. We sincerely hope that this number will increase, but we are still awaiting the F-35s. From our side, there will be no delays," said De Wever.
According to him, once Belgium receives its F-35 fighter jets, it will be able to immediately transfer F-16s to Ukraine.
"We will fully honor our commitments. The F-16s we promised will be delivered to Ukraine immediately. There will be no delays in the supply of F-16s from Belgium," the Belgian Prime Minister added.
Earlier, Belgian Prime Minister Bart de Wever said that the start of F-16 deliveries to Ukraine had been postponed until 2026.
