On April 8, 2025, 161 combat clashes between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian invaders were recorded.
This is stated in the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Censor.NET reports.
Russian strikes in Ukraine
The enemy launched one missile and 91 air strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements, used three missiles and dropped 162 drones. In addition, it carried out almost 4,900 attacks, including 100 from multiple launch rocket systems, and used 2,180 kamikaze drones to attack.
The aggressor carried out air strikes, in particular, in the areas of Uhrody, Turia, Pokrovka, Miropilske, Dmytrivka, Mala Rybytsia, Krasnopillia in the Sumy region; Zoria, Romanivka, Pokrovsk, Udachne, Zelenyi Kut, Bahatyr, Zirka, Tolstoy, Voskresenka in the Donetsk region; Novopavlivka, Sichneve in Dnipropetrovsk region; Huliaypole in the Zaporizhzhia region; Kozatske in the Kherson region.
Defeating the enemy
Over the past day, the aviation, missile forces, and artillery of the Defense Forces hit 10 areas where Russian invaders' personnel and equipment were concentrated.
Situation in the Kharkiv region
In the Kharkiv sector, our troops repelled three enemy attacks near Vovchansk.
In the Kupiansk sector, five occupants' attacks took place yesterday. Defense forces repelled the enemy's assault near Stepova Novoselivka and Zahryzove.
Fighting in the East
In the Lyman sector, the enemy attacked 17 times. He tried to advance near Hrekivka, Katerynivka, Novyi and Kolodiazi.
Four enemy assaults in the direction of Hryhorivka, Bilohorivka, and in the area of Verkhnekamianske were repelled by Ukrainian defenders in the Siversky sector.
In the Kramatorsk sector, six firefights were registered in the areas of Vasyukivka, Chasovyi Yar, Bila Hora and Kurdiumivka.
In the Toretsk sector, the enemy carried out 18 attacks near Ozarianivka, Toretsk, and Leonidivka.
In the Pokrovsk sector, our defenders stopped 58 assault and offensive actions of the aggressor in the areas of Kalynove, Yelizavetivka, Lysivka, Shevchenko, Zvirove, Udachne, Uspenivka, Novooleksandrivka, Kotlyarivka, Bohdanivka, and Andriivka.
In the Novopavlivka sector, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 13 enemy attacks near Kostiantynopil, Rozlyv, Dniproenerhia, and Burlatske.
South.
In the Huliaypillia sector, the invaders made three attacks in the direction of Vilne Pole and in the vicinity of Burlatske.
In the Orikhiv sector, our defenders repelled four enemy attacks in the vicinity of Stepove and Lobkove.
In the Prydniprovsky sector, no combat engagements were recorded yesterday.
Kursk region.
In the operational zone in the Kursk region, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 25 attacks by Russian invaders over the past day. In addition, the enemy launched 35 air strikes using 50 guided bombs and fired 323 artillery shells at the positions of our troops and settlements, including seven from multiple launch rocket systems.
The North
No signs of enemy offensive groups were detected in the Volyn and Polissia sectors.
