21,500 children remain in Ukraine-controlled areas of Donetsk region, there are families who return after evacuation

As of today, about 283,000 people, including 21,500 children, remain living in the government-controlled areas of the Donetsk region. In nine settlements where families with children are being forcibly evacuated, 254 children remain. There are also cases when families with children who were previously evacuated return home.

This is reported by the press center of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, Censor.NET reports.

In total, about 29 thousand people live on the territory of 17 communities declared an area of active hostilities. There are 202 children in this area. There are 197 children in the Lyman community, and 5 children in the Toretsk community whose families returned home after the evacuation.

Over the past week, 240 children were evacuated from those settlements where the evacuation of families with children was announced.

184 children were evacuated from the Dobropillia community, including 156 minors from the town of Bilytske. 29 children were evacuated from Druzhkivka community and 21 children from Lyman community. 5 children were evacuated from the Shakhiv community, who had already been evacuated earlier, and 1 child was evacuated from the Komar community, who had also been evacuated with her family earlier.

In 9 settlements where the evacuation of families with children continues, 254 children remain. There are 11 children in the Lyman community, 4 children in the Kryvorizhzhia community, 232 children in the Dobropillia community, including 145 in the town of Bilytske, and 7 children in the Druzhkivka community.

In addition, additional children were identified who returned with their families after the evacuation. There is 1 such child in Komar community, 4 children in Shakhiv community, and 2 children in Lyman city. Also, 5 children returned to the village of Shcherbynivka in the Toretsk community.
