EU will try to reach 2 million artillery shells for Ukraine this year - Kallas

The European Union and its member states expect to increase the supply of artillery ammunition to Ukraine this year, in particular, to reach the figure of 2 million.
According to Censor.NET, citing Yevropeiska Pravda, this was stated by the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, at a briefing on the occasion of the EU-Ukraine Association Council meeting.
According to Kallas, the European Commission believes it is possible to increase the number of artillery ammunition ordered and delivered to Ukraine to 2 million pieces.
"The EU and its member states can achieve this result this year. Since we started the dialogue with the member states, Ukraine has already received more than a million shells - in the form of orders or pledges. I will continue to work to ensure that we reach the 2 million mark this year," she added.
