State Department reports on results of meeting with Russian delegation

The US Department of State reported on the results of a meeting with the Russian delegation in Istanbul.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the website of the State Department.
"A U.S. delegation led by Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Russian and Central European Affairs Sonata Coulter met with a Russian delegation led by Ambassador Alexander Darchiev on April 10 in Istanbul, Turkey. This meeting was the second round of consultations following Secretary Rubio's agreement with his Russian counterpart, the first of which took place on February 27," the statement said.
It is noted that the delegations exchanged notes to finalize the process of agreeing on stable banking services for their diplomatic missions in Russia and the United States. At the same time, the American side "once again expressed concern" about the Russian policy, which prohibits the hiring of local staff to support the stable operation of the US Embassy in Moscow.
The heads of delegations also discussed holding the next meeting "in the near future." However, the date and place of potential new talks have not yet been determined, the State Department said.
Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry reported that the meeting would be devoted to the work of diplomatic missions. The Russian and US delegations will be headed by Alexander Darchiev and Sonata Coulter.
As a reminder, the first round of talks between Russia and the United States in Istanbul took place on February 27, 2025. It lasted 6 hours.
