Russia's frozen assets in the European Union should remain immobilized until Russia ends its war of aggression against Ukraine and compensates for all losses.

This is stated in a press release following the 10th meeting of the Association Council, published on the website of the EU Delegation to Ukraine on Thursday, Censor.NET reports.

"Ukraine expressed its gratitude for the 16 packages of restrictive measures of the EU. The Association Council, in turn, reiterated that the work on sanctions will continue, including by strengthening their implementation and preventing their circumvention, as well as by adopting further sanctions," the website says.

The participants of the meeting emphasized the commitment that Russia and its leadership must be held accountable under international law for waging a war of aggression against Ukraine and other extremely serious crimes.

"The Association Council welcomed the agreement between legal experts on technical documents that lay the groundwork for the establishment of a Special Tribunal for the crime of aggression against Ukraine," the statement said.
