Lithuania plans to provide Ukraine with 20 million euros in support for purchase of ammunition

Lithuanian Defense Minister Dovile Šakalienė said that Lithuania plans to allocate another aid package to Ukraine.
According to Censor.NET, this was reported by LRT.
"Summer can be very difficult. That's why we need to increase our support. For example, Lithuania is going to add an additional 20 million euros for the purchase of ammunition because this is one of the things that Ukraine really needs now," she said.
Šakalienė called for speeding up the provision of assistance to Ukraine.
In June last year, the Lithuanian State Defense Council agreed to annually allocate at least 0.25% of the country's GDP for military aid to Ukraine.
Since the beginning of the war, Lithuania has provided Ukraine with military assistance worth about 800 million euros. The total amount of Lithuania's long-term assistance to Ukraine has exceeded EUR 1.5 billion.
As a reminder, on April 11, the 27th meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine's Defense (Ramstein format) began in Brussels under the joint chairmanship of the UK Defense Secretary John Healey and German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius.
