The occupation forces are carrying out a significant number of assault operations in the center of Toretsk, Donetsk region, and are trying to flank the mines in order to block the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to Censor.NET, with reference to Suspilne, this was reported by the spokesman for the Luhansk regional military unit Dmytro Zaporozhets.
He noted that Ukrainian defenders control part of the dominant heights in Toretsk. However, the occupiers are attempting to enter the spoil heaps during bad weather.
Russian troops are trying to expand their flanks from the northern part of the city to disrupt Ukrainian logistics," the spokesman said.
On the Toretsk sector, Russians have intensified assaults in the areas of Druzhba and Panteleymonivka and are using a small number of armored vehicles during them. Zaporozhets noted that the Russian army is also using a significant number of reconnaissance UAVs and attacking Ukrainian logistics routes with guided aerial bombs.
Earlier, Viktor Trehubov, a spokesman for the Khortytsia unit, said that if the enemy captures Toretsk, it will open the way to Kostyantynivka.
