Germany is ready to supply Taurus to Ukraine, but with consent of European partners - Merz

Probable future German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said he was always ready to support the transfer of Taurus missiles to Ukraine - provided that these supplies were agreed with Germany's European partners.
According to Censor.NET, this was reported by DW..
"I have always said that I would do this, but only if it is agreed with European partners," he said.
At the same time, Merz noted that some countries, including European ones, are already supplying cruise missiles to Kyiv:
"The British are doing it, the French are doing it, the Americans are doing it anyway."
If an agreement is reached, Germany should take part in such supplies, the politician stressed. In his opinion, the Ukrainian army should move from exclusively defensive actions to more active ones.
"The Ukrainian armed forces have been reacting for three years. It's time for them to start influencing the course of events," Merz said.
As an example of the possible use of Taurus missiles, he mentioned the destruction of land routes between Russia and the occupied Crimea, which are important for the logistics of the Russian army.
As a reminder, Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy hopes that the new German Chancellor will agree to supply Ukraine with long-range Taurus missiles.
