Putin uses "fascist practices" and appropriates Russia’s victory over Nazism in World War II – Sikorski

Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski said that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin will try to use 9 May in Russia, covering his aggression against Ukraine with the rhetoric of fighting fascism.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to Radio Liberty.
Sikorski stressed that modern Russia is an authoritarian state that is waging a war of aggression, depriving the neighbouring people of their right to identity.
‘Putin will try to mislead the world by claiming that he is fighting fascism and referring to the victory in World War II. This is, of course, another lie. Russia is an authoritarian state that has more political prisoners today than in Brezhnev's time. It invades neighbouring countries and tries to deprive a large neighbouring nation of its right to its own identity. These are fascist practices,’ he said.
The Polish foreign minister also stressed that the victory of the anti-Hitler coalition over the Third Reich in World War II was a common heritage of many nations, including Ukrainians who fought in the Red Army.
‘Not only Russians fought in World War II. Several million Ukrainians died in the Second World War, and several million more served in the Red Army, liberating Poland and taking Berlin, among other places. Therefore, the victory of the anti-Hitler coalition over the Third Reich is not Putin's property, and his use of this victory to discredit Ukraine is an appropriation of history,’ Sikorski added.
