Ukrainian forces struck the permanent base of Russia’s 448th Missile Brigade in the Kursk region. This brigade was responsible for the missile attack on Sumy on Palm Sunday, April 13, 2025.

This was reported by the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, according to Censor.NET.

"Units of the Unmanned Systems Forces and the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in coordination with other elements of Ukraine’s Defense Forces and the Security Service of Ukraine, conducted strikes on a number of targets in Russia’s Kursk region linked to war criminals involved in the missile attack on the city of Sumy on April 13, 2025, as well as other war crimes committed against the people of Ukraine.

In particular, the permanent base of the 448th Missile Brigade of the Russian occupying forces was hit. Secondary detonation of ammunition was recorded. The results of the strike are being clarified," the statement reads.

The General Staff emphasized that every Russian servicemember who targets Ukrainian cities will inevitably face retribution.

As a reminder, on April 13, Russian occupation forces launched two missile strikes on the center of Sumy. April 14, 15, and 16 have been declared Days of Mourning in the city for the victims of the Russian attack.

As of the morning of April 15, 35 people have been confirmed killed, including two children.
