Two explosions in the Darnytskyi district of Kyiv on Revutskyi Street, which occurred on the afternoon of 11 December, are being investigated as a terrorist attack.

This was reported by the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office, according to Censor.NET.

National Guard soldier killed

Investigators classified the incident under Part 3 of Article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, namely as a terrorist act that resulted in the death of a person.

It is known that the first explosion occurred when two National Guard soldiers were patrolling the area, resulting in the death of one of them. Another National Guard soldier and a security guard at the site were injured.

What is known

The second explosion occurred when police officers and medics who had arrived at the scene were already working there. Two police officers were injured.

A homemade explosive device detonated, the prosecutor's office added.
