This afternoon, the occupying forces attacked the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv with a strike drone. The enemy drone crashed right in the middle of one of the main streets, resulting in one fatality and several injuries.

Oleg Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, spoke about the consequences of the enemy attack, reports Censor.NET.

Victims of the attack

It is reported that seven people were injured. Those who were in cars at the time of the strike sustained quite serious injuries. Three of the injured are in a critical condition, and doctors are fighting to save their lives.

In particular, medics treated a 2-year-old girl – she has been diagnosed with an acute stress reaction.

"Unfortunately, the injured man, aged around 60, died in hospital," said Syniehubov.

Damage

As a result of the shelling, the windows of two medical facilities near the impact site were damaged, as well as at least four cars.

Clean-up operations following this hostile strike are ongoing at the scene. State Emergency Service units are working round the clock, with all relevant services mobilised. The next steps will involve boarding up the shattered windows and carrying out initial repair work.

"This is the third day in a row that the enemy has been launching massive attacks on Kharkiv with strike drones. At the same time, a significant number of enemy UAVs are being destroyed by our air defence forces – we thank them for their daily protection. Despite this, the enemy continues its attempts to terrorise the civilian population," said the head of the Regional Military Administration.

Updated information

It later became known that a 29-year-old woman who had been injured during today’s Russian strike on Kharkiv died in hospital.

"Doctors fought to save the victim’s life until the very end, but unfortunately, her injuries proved too severe. Sincere condolences to the family of the deceased," Syniehubov said.
