62 combat engagements recorded on frontline, 25 of them in Pokrovsk direction – General Staff
Since the beginning of the day, the number of attacks by the aggressor on the frontline has reached 62. The most intense fighting is ongoing in the Pokrovsk direction.
This is stated in the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces report on the frontline situation as of 4:00 p.m. on April 3, Censor.NET reports.
Russian strikes on Ukraine
The aggressor is shelling border areas.
- Today in the Sumy region, the following settlements were affected: Korenok, Bachivsk, Iskryskivshchyna, Budky, Doroshivka, Otruba, Neskuchne, Sytne, Kozache, Rohizne, and Volfyne.
- In the Chernihiv region — Kryvusha.
Situation in the north
In the North-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, the enemy carried out one airstrike using four guided aerial bombs, conducted 61 attacks on settlements and positions of Ukrainian troops, 12 of them using multiple launch rocket systems. One combat engagement was recorded.
Situation in the Kharkiv region
In the South-Slobozhanskyi direction, the enemy made five attempts to improve its tactical position near the settlements of Starytsia, Tsehelne, Vilcha, and Krasne Pershe.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy carried out two assault operations near Borivska Andriivka.
Fighting in the east
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian troops repelled one attempt by the invaders to advance toward the settlement of Dibrova.
In the Sloviansk direction, the occupiers twice attempted to advance toward Ukrainian positions in the direction of Rai-Oleksandrivka.
According to the General Staff, in the Kramatorsk direction, the occupiers did not conduct active offensive operations.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, the invaders carried out 14 attacks near the settlements of Kostiantynivka, Udachne, Kleban-Byk, Ivanopillia, Illinivka, Novopavlivka, Sofiivka, Pleshchiivka, and Kucheriv Yar. One attack is ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, the occupiers have made 25 attempts to push our troops from their positions near the settlements of Bilytske, Shevchenko, Rodynske, Novooleksandrivka, Hryshyne, Serhiivka, Udachne, Muravka, Novomykolaivka, Novopidhrodne, Novopavlivka, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, and Molodetske. One enemy assault is ongoing.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy attacked five times toward Iskra, Sichneve, Krasnohirsk, Stepove, and Zlahoda. One enemy assault is ongoing. The occupiers also carried out an airstrike in the area of Velykomykhailivka.
Fighting in the south
In the Huliaipole direction, seven attacks took place toward Ukrainian defensive positions near Dobropillia, Pryluka, Hirske, and Varvarivka. Vozdvyzhivka, Dolynka, Rivne and Kopani were hit by airstrikes.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy carried out airstrikes near the settlements of Obshche and Zarichne. No assault operations were conducted.
In the Prydniprovske direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive operations.
In other directions, no significant changes in the situation have been observed. Enemy attempts to advance have not been recorded.
