Hollande wants Putin to join "grand coalition" to fight ISIS

French President Francois Hollande urged Russian President Vladimir Putin to create a "grand coalition" to fight the terrorist group "Islamic State."

He said this at the outset of bilateral talks with Vladimir Putin, Censor.NET reports citing UNIAN.

"Our enemy is Islamic State, it has territory, an army, and resources, so we must create a grand coalition to hit these terrorists," Hollande stressed in the Kremlin.

The French president told Putin he arrived in Moscow to explore the possibilities for joint actions and coordination in the fight against Islamic State. Hollande added another purpose of his visit was reaching a solution for peace in the Middle East.

Putin, in turn, said Moscow was ready to unite with Paris against the "mutual enemy."
