Muzhenko announced military salaries increase in 2016
Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Viktor Muzhenko announced salary increases for the military personnel effective Jan.1, 2016.
The corresponding video was published on the Facebook page of the ATO press center, Censor.NET reports."We plan to increase the financing from Jan.1," Muzhenko said.
He noted that contract servicemen will receive about UAH 7,000 ($285) monthly; brigade commanders - UAH 14,000; battalion commanders - UAH 12,000, company commanders - UAH 10,000, and platoon commanders - UAH 9,000. Poroshenko congratulated militaries on the Day of the Armed Forces
The rate of allowance for participation in hostilities might also change. According to Muzhenko, the payment will not be calculated at a rate. A fixed amount should be equally paid to the military regardless of the rank, he said.
