Russian submarine fired missiles at Syria from Mediterranean Sea, - Russia’s defense minister

Russia has launched a missile strike on the positions of the ‘Islamic State’ from the Rostov-on-Don submarine located in the Mediterranean Sea using ‘Caliber’ cruise missiles.

TASS reports citing the official statement of the Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, Censor.NET informs.

It is noted that Shoigu had reported this to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"The 'Caliber' cruise missiles were for the first time employed, launched from the Rostov-on-Don submarine located in the Mediterranean Sea," Shoigu said.
