Kerry and Lavrov talked over situation in Ukraine
U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov discussed in a phone conversation on Monday a number of the most pressing international issues and agreed on the need of a personal meeting in the near future.
U.S. Department of State spokesman John Kirby said, Censor.NET reports referring to Ukrinform.
The sides discussed a number of issues, including the political process in Syria, the fight against ISIS, regional issues in the Middle East, the situation in Ukraine, recent nuclear test in North Korea, as well as bilateral relations between the U.S. and Russia, the representative of the U.S. foreign service said.
As reported, Kerry and Lavrov agreed to remain in close touch and look for an opportunity to meet in the coming days.
