Chief of police of Holosiivskyi district caught while receiving bribe

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) detained the Head of Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv for receiving a bribe.

Censor.NET reports citing the press service of the SBU. The law enforcers detained the head of the Holosiivskyi district department of the Department of Protection of Economics.

The extortionists - a colonel and major general of police - regularly demanded and received money from businessmen in Kyiv. The police detained them while taking a bribe of 20 thousand hryvnia and $700 for trade permits at one of the markets in Holosiivskyi district in Kyiv.

Criminal proceeding according to Paragraph 3 of Art. 368 (receipt of undue advantage) and Paragraph 3 of Art. 369 (giving of undue advantage) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine has been opened.
