Salary of ATO soldiers to increase fourfold, - Minister Jaresko

Finance Ministry-developed budget 2016 has allowed to increase monthly salary payments for base area soldiers by almost three times, from 2,341 to 7,000 UAH ($265 monthly), and for anti-terrorist operation (ATO) soldiers - by four times, to 10,300 UAH ($389).

This was announced by Ukraine's Finance Minister Natalie Jaresko on her Facebook page, Censor.NET reports.

"In 2016, cash collateral for Ukrainian military increases by several times. The finance ministry-developed budget 2016 has allowed, for instance, to increase monthly salary payments for base area soldiers by almost three times, from 2,341 to 7,000 UAH ($265 monthly), and for anti-terrorist operation (ATO) soldiers - by four times, to 10,300 UAH ($389). Now the defenders of the Motherland will be receiving decent payments for the defense of the borders and protection of the Ukrainian people's peace," she wrote.
