"Crimean prosecutor" Poklonskaya orders to ban Mejlis
The so-called "prosecutor" of Crimea Natalia Poklonskaya has served Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Nariman Dzhelialov a copy of the lawsuit to ban the organization.
Censor.NET reports citing TASS.Poklonskaya has filed an appeal to the puppet "Supreme Court of the Republic" to ban the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people NGO under Article 9 of the Federal Law "on countering extremist activity".
"At the present time, we continue receiving complaints from Crimean Tatars, including leaders of associations of Crimean Tatars, to recognize the activities of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people illegal and provocative, as well as take measures to prohibit the use of the national flag of the Crimean Tatars by the criminals involved in blockade and subversions against the peoples of Crimea," the text of the document submitted by Poklonskaya reads.
"According to your explanation, the internal documents of the Mejlis, you represent the interests of the Mejlis in Crimea as its first deputy chairman. I am serving you the copy of the documents, the appeal to the Supreme Court of the Republic of Crimea to ban the activities of the nongovernmental organization since Chairman of the Mejlis Refat Chubarov evades the investigating authorities being currently in the wanted list for the commission of offenses he has been brought an indictment in," Poklonskaya said.
