EC still examining visa-free laws implementation by Ukraine, - Commissioner Hahn
The European Commission has not yet completed its assessment of the fulfillment of requirements for abolishing the visa regime for Ukraine, and two important questions still remain open.
EU Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn told a briefing Monday, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrinform.Asked about the prospects for the submission of legislative proposals by the European Commission to abolish visa regime for Ukraine and Georgia, the EU Commissioner said that this was the commission's internal evaluation process, while the issue could not be tackled until the process was fully completed.
At the same time he did not confirm that Ukraine and Georgia could be separately approached in this process.
He stressed that Georgia had fulfilled all the requirements but Ukraine still ought to complete two important commitments.
