Savchenko forbids lawyers to appeal verdict
Lawyer Ilya Novikov says, Censor.NET's correspondent reports.
"We'll not appeal it [the verdict - ed.], because Nadezhda forbids us," Novikov said.
He also explained the position of the defendant: "For her it is, firstly, the remission of sentence. Submitting an appeal will take us two more months, and it will not change anything. Secondly, it would demonstrate that she retains faith that there is a judge in a Russia's court who will rule differently. She has long lost the faith. So, this is also an occasion to show there is no trust in the judicial system."
