EP committee to adopt statement demanding release of Savchenko
The Committee on Foreign Affairs of the European Parliament has endorsed a joint statement on the release of Nadiia Savchenko.
Censor.NET reports referring to Ukrainian MP Olena Shkrum's Facebook.
"Chairman of the European Parliament Foreign Affairs Committee Elmar Brok has just announced the need to prepare a statement regarding the verdict of the Donetsk court of the Rostov region with respect to Nadiia Savchenko," she wrote.
According to Shkrum, "the committee does not accept this verdict, deems the case politically motivated, and calls for the release of Nadiia."
