Sevruk to execute office of Prosecutor General, - PGO

First Deputy Prosecutor General Yurii Sevruk will become Acting Prosecutor General of Ukraine following the dismissal of Viktor Shokin.

Member of the Prosecutor General's Office Vladyslav Kutsenko said at a briefing on Tuesday, Censor.NET informs citing Ukrinform.

"The parliament has expressed its opinion, that is, accepted Viktor Shokin's resignation. First Deputy Prosecutor General Yurii Sevruk will execute office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine upon completion of the procedural aspects related to today's decision of the parliament, in accordance with Paragraph 3 of the Article 9 of the Law of Ukraine on the Prosecutor General's Office," he said.
