Court imposes pretrial confinement on judge-shooter Buran
This was stated by Solomianskyi district court Judge Serhii Korobenko, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainski Novyny.
Serhii Korobenko spent three hours in the deliberations room. According to his decision, the suspect has been placed in detention until 5:40 p.m. May 28. Thus, the court granted the request of the specialized anti-corruption prosecutors.
Buran is accused of receiving a large scale bribe and the attack on the law enforcement officers.
The parliament sanctioned Buran's detention and pretrial confinement March 31. March 29, the National Anti-corruption Bureau reported that judge of Malynovskyi district court of Odesa Oleksii Buran opened fire at the law enforcers and fled during attempt to arrest him for receiving a bribe in the amount of 500,000 hryvnias.
