Attacker of Hanna Turchynova served notice of suspicion
Members of Kyiv Prosecutor's Office have served lawyer Volodymyr Olentsevych notice of suspicion of murderous assault on the employee of one of Kyiv’s universities.
As reported by Censor.NET, Kyiv Prosecutor's Office spokesperson Nadiia Maksymets told Ukrainski Novyny.
The assailant was served notice of suspicion of committing a criminal offense under Part 3 of the Article 15 and Part 1 of the Article 115 (murderous assault) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The written notice of suspicion has been made and served by the Acting Prosecutor of Kyiv Oleh Valendiuk in the presence of the suspect's defense counsel. A motion to impose a pretrial confinement against the suspect is currently being prepared.
Maksymets clarified that the suspect armed with a knife entered inside the University May 25 at about 4 p.m. and attacked one of the employees whom he mistook with the wife of the National Security and Defense Council secretary.
Earlier, Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov reported about the detention of a suspect in the attack on the wife of the Secretary of National Security and Defense Council Oleksandr Turchynov Hanna.
