Constitutional Court cancels limit on lifetime payouts to judges
As reported by Censor.NET citing UNIAN, the Constitutional Court abolished the limit on the maximum amount of the lifetime allowance of 10,740 hryvnia (approx. $430) of a retired judge.
As previously reported, the Supreme Court filed a request to recognize a new provision of the law on judicial system and status of judges unconstitutional. According to the provision, the maximum amount of monthly cash collateral of retired judges, including all the extra payments, can not exceed 10 subsistence minimums for people who have lost their ability to work, while in 2016, the amount can not be higher than 10,740 hryvnia.
