Number of victims of intestinal infection in Izmail increased to 732; 136 people hospitalized, - State Emergency Service
The number of victims of intestinal infections in Izmail and the surrounding area continues to grow.
Press service of the State Emergency Service informs, Censor.NET reports."732 people (including 426 children), preliminary diagnosed with acute gastroenterocolitis from Izmail and the neighboring Broska village, sought medical help in Izmail city hospitals from June 16 to June 26.
"As of 7 p.m. June 27, 136 persons (including 106 children) remain in Izmail medical facilities.
"Workers of the State Emergency Service implemented a set of sanitary-epidemiological measures. The preliminary cause of the disease is consumption of poor quality water," the report reads.
Earlier, about 720 people asked for medical help in Izmail city hospitals as of June 26.
