"I attribute my arrest to nervousness prevailing in government," - Yefremov
Former leader of the Party of Regions parliamentary faction Oleksandr Yefremov associates his arrest with the nervousness of the authorities.
As reported by Censor.NET citing 112 Ukraine TV channel, this was said by the former MP during the adjournment in the hearing of his case by the Pechersk district court of Kyiv."I attribute my arrest to the nervousness that prevails in the halls of power. Apparently, the state's problems are so enormous that they have to smokescreen this information insanity by such things," he said.
Earlier, media reported that former chairman of Party of Regions' parliamentary faction Oleksandr Yefremov had been brought to Pechersk district court of Kyiv Monday morning.
Prior to that, July 30, Prosecutor General's Office detained Yefremov under suspicion of violation of territorial integrity of Ukraine.
The PGO had arrested former MP Yefremov before. He was detained with the possibility of release on 3.7 million hryvnia bail and bailed out by his colleague MP Borys Kolesnikov.
The court ordered the controversial former deputy to wear an electronic bracelet.
