On August 21, Russian forces struck an ordinary shopping mall in Kryvyi Rih. Attack drones struck in two waves.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote about this on social media, Censor.NET reports.

On Russia’s cynical strike

According to the president, the Russians carried out an utterly cynical and vile attack using attack drones that struck in two waves: half an hour after the first impact and subsequent fire, a second strike targeted emergency services that had arrived at the scene.

Consequences

At the time of publication, five people were known to have been killed. Zelenskyy expressed condolences to their families and loved ones. At least 52 people were injured, including six children. According to the president, all those wounded are receiving the necessary medical care.

President’s response

"Such strikes are simply acts of terrorism. The world must respond accordingly, with real pressure on the aggressor. For peace to be possible, Russia must face real accountability," Zelenskyy stressed.
