Fuel tanks at port of Yeysk have been hit, - General Staff

On 22 August 2026, units of the Ukrainian Defence Forces struck fuel and lubricant storage tanks at the Yeysk Oil Terminal in the Krasnodar Krai of the Russian Federation, causing a fire to break out on the site.

This has been reported by Censor.NET, citing the press office of the General Staff.

It is noted that the extent of the damage caused is currently being assessed.

What is known about the affected site?

The Yeisk Oil Terminal is part of the infrastructure of the seaport of Yeysk (Krasnodar Krai, Russian Federation, Taganrog Bay of the Sea of Azov).

It handles the receipt, storage and shipment of petroleum products to seagoing vessels. The port’s cargo terminals have a throughput capacity of approximately 6.8 million tonnes of cargo per year, of which liquid cargoes, in particular petroleum products, account for over one million tonnes per year.

The facility is involved in supplying the Russian Armed Forces.

"Operations against key enemy targets are continuing," the General Staff emphasises.
