Russian strike on Kryvyi Rih: three people missing, six wounded – in extremely critical condition. PHOTO

A rescue operation is underway, and efforts are being made to deal with the aftermath of the terrorist attack in Kryvyi Rih.

This was reported on the Telegram channel by Oleksandr Vilkul, chairman of the Kryvyi Rih Defence Council, according to Censor.NET.

People missing

According to him, as of 13.40 , three people remain missing, including one child.

"There were nine this morning – five of them have been identified amongst the dead and the wounded in hospitals, and, thank God, another woman has got in touch; she is fine," he explained.

Condition of the injured

There are currently 50 injured people in hospital, including 13 children. Another 11-year-old girl has been transferred by an intensive care team to Dnipro for further treatment.

Six of the injured are in a very critical condition, including two children aged 10 and 16. A further nine people are in a serious condition, all of whom are adults. All the injured are in a stable condition, and doctors are providing them with all the necessary care.

"In addition to the shopping centre, which has been virtually destroyed, a grammar school and a sixth-form college were also damaged, with nearly 220 windows smashed. All emergency services and municipal teams are on site and are working," Vilkul clarified.

What led up to this?

On 21 August, Russian forces struck an ordinary shopping centre in Kryvyi Rih. Attack drones carried out the strike in two waves.

Sixteen people were killed and a further 130 were injured.

Sixty-three people remain in hospital. They have shrapnel wounds, head injuries and burns.
