A warehouse complex is on fire in St Petersburg, and the area affected by the blaze is growing.
This has been reported by the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, according to Censor.NET, citing ASTRA.
No alert was issued
As noted, the authorities did not declare a drone or missile alert. An eyewitness – an ASTRA reader who filmed the second video – notes that the authorities did not declare a drone alert, and no sounds of drones or air defence systems were heard.
Firefighters are extinguishing a blaze at a warehouse in St Petersburg, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations’ press service. The area affected by the fire grew from 22,000 to 82,000 square metres within a few hours, according to reports from the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Details regarding casualties are still being confirmed.
According to the publication, a warehouse located 350 metres from the Ozon warehouse is on fire in St Petersburg.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations stated that the fire has been classified as a level 4 incident, with the fire area covering 82,000 square metres.
"The building contains goods and products for various purposes," the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.
The ministry specified the address of the fire: St Petersburg, Pushkinsky District, Shushary settlement, Kolpinskoe Shosse, 135.
Based on eyewitness videos, an OSINT analyst from ASTRA confirmed the accuracy of the address. The analysis also showed that the video footage published by the Supernova+ monitoring channel was filmed from a vantage point near the Ozon warehouse – which is approximately 350 metres away from the burning building.
