Russia carries out airstrike on Sloviansk: seven explosions heard, wounded reported

Russian airstrike on Sloviansk wounds several people

Russian forces carried out another airstrike on Sloviansk in the Donetsk region on the afternoon of August 24. Several people are known to have been wounded in the attack.

According to Censor.NET, this was reported by Vadym Liakh, head of the Sloviansk City Military Administration.

According to Liakh, seven explosions were heard in Sloviansk during the attack. Four of them occurred in the city centre.

"Today, the enemy carried out another airstrike on our city. Seven explosions were heard. Four of them occurred in the city centre. Several people are already known to have been wounded," the head of the City Military Administration said.

Information on the consequences of the strike is currently being clarified.

Sloviansk regularly comes under Russian attack

The previous day, Russian forces also shelled Sloviansk and other settlements in the community. Residential buildings, vehicles and businesses were damaged in the previous attacks.
