Italy is preparing new consignment of generators for Ukraine ahead of winter
The Italian Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, announced the continuation of humanitarian aid to Ukraine ahead of the winter season.

Meloni took part in a video conference of the leaders of the Coalition of the Willing, which was held to mark the 35th anniversary of Ukraine’s independence.
In her message, the Italian Prime Minister congratulated President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the Ukrainian people on the anniversary of their independence.
She reaffirmed Italy’s unwavering support for Ukraine’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence.

George Meloni expressed her deepest sympathy for the suffering of the Ukrainian people caused by Russia’s ongoing attacks on civilian infrastructure.
"Italy is committed to providing humanitarian aid to Ukraine ahead of the winter season," said Meloni.
In particular, Rome plans to provide Ukraine with additional generators. These are intended to help support the population and ensure the stability of the electricity grid.
Leaders of the Coalition of the Willing have called for tougher sanctions
During the meeting, the leaders also agreed on the need to make the sanctions against Russia more effective.
They paid particular attention to countering attempts to circumvent the restrictions that have been put in place. The aim of these measures is to further weaken Moscow’s military machine.
Meloni also confirmed Italy’s readiness to work with international partners to facilitate the negotiation process, which should lead to a just and lasting peace.
As a reminder, the previous meeting of the Coalition of the Willing took place in person on 13 July in Paris. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated at the time that the next meeting of the Coalition of the Willing would be held in Ukraine.
