The company "Vluchnyk" has completed in-house testing of the Ukrainian anti-aircraft interceptor drone "Zorelit v5". It is designed, in particular, to counter jet-powered attack UAVs.

What are the specifications of the ‘Zorelit v5’?
According to Stepan Radibog, director of Vluchnyk Ltd, the "Zorelit v5" has completed a full cycle of testing and is now ready for delivery to the armed forces. The company has also stated that it is prepared to enter into direct contracts with military units, and once the drone has been standardised, it will be available for purchase via the e-Baly system.
- The interceptor’s stated maximum speed is 416 km/h, and its maximum range on a single charge is up to 47 km. At a cruising speed of around 200 km/h, the drone is capable of remaining airborne for approximately 17 minutes. The design of the aircraft allows for the installation of a warhead weighing between 300 and 600 grams.
According to the manufacturer, the "Zorelit v5" can be used to intercept reconnaissance drones, the Russian "Gerbera" and "Geran-2" UAVs, as well as the high-speed jet-powered "Geran-3" and "Geran-4".
Additional capabilities of UAVs
The interceptor can be fitted with an automatic target detection and illumination system that utilises artificial intelligence algorithms. It also features a function for automatically guiding the aircraft during the final stage of flight.
- In addition, the "Zorelit v5" can be integrated with the SkyMap system. It automatically identifies the area in which the target is located and guides the drone there.
The "Zorelit v5" was developed on the basis of the previous "Zorelit v4" interceptor, which, according to the company, has already seen combat, has been adopted into service and has been assigned a NATO Stock Number (NSN). Some of the technical solutions that had been tested in combat conditions were incorporated into the new version.
The Vluchnik company’s website states that the cost of a single ‘Zorelit v5’ interceptor drone is 89,500 UAH.
