In Udachne community in Donetsk region, around 20 people have lost contact: their fate is unknown
In the Udachne community in the Pokrovsk district, where active fighting is ongoing, there has been no contact with around 20 local residents. There are fears that some of them may have been killed.
According to Censor.NET, citing an interview given by Valerii Duhelnyi, head of the Udachne settlement military administration, to Radio Free Europe, the administration currently has no information regarding the fate of these people.
According to Duhelnyi, two people remained in Novomykolaivka, but there is currently no contact with them.
"Unfortunately, there is a suspicion that they most likely did not survive. Six people remain in the village of Udachne; we know nothing about their fate either. Three people are in the village of Kalynivka – they are most likely alive, as they did manage to get out at one point… Around nine people remain in the village of Serhiivka – we don’t know about them either, and the military are no longer reporting back to us on whether they are alive or not, or what has become of them," said the head of the Civil-Military Administration.
In addition, around 20 members of the community were able to cross into the temporarily occupied territory via Pokrovsk. According to Dugelny, these people have already been featured in Russian propaganda videos.
The Udachne community is situated in the west of the Pokrovsk district in the Donetsk region. Before the start of the Russian Federation’s full-scale invasion, more than 2,500 people lived there.
